Mead: food for the soul

Well, my partner is busy fussing over his first batch of mead.  Like an expectant father he anxiously watches the bubbles and worries about whether everything is going well.  He recently had the pleasure of participating in a mead workshop hosted by Jim of Bardic Brews at the Urban Farm Fermentory

We’ve had the joy of tasting a variety of meads over the years, most made by local mead-makers – have yet to taste a mead I didn’t enjoy.

Sitting around a fire, in the evening, toasting beloved ones and the Gods, mead is a mysterious, wonderful, and actually healthy delight for the senses. 

I wonder if there’s a God or Goddess of mead..I’ll have to ask Harper about that one.
